Backup, restore & delete your data
Your names should remain yours. Here is how to keep a backup or delete your local history.
Export your data
Download a readable JSON copy of favorites, private notes and search history. Store the file somewhere safe if you want to return from another device.
Import a backup
Select a previously exported JSON file. Import merges saved names without deleting your current collection. The file is read within your browser.
How your data is stored
Saved names: 0 · Recent searches: 0
Storage: Browser storage
Some browsers permit you to request storage protection from automatic eviction. This is not an absolute guarantee.
Delete stored data
Remove just recent searches, just favorites and their notes, or your entire local workspace. Each choice asks for confirmation before it proceeds.
Does this storage follow me to another device?
No. This version has no registration, cloud account or server database for nickname collections. You can export your data on one device and import it on another. For true cross-device synchronization with long-term account backups, a separate authenticated backend and a published data-retention policy would be necessary.
What exactly is included in the backup?
The JSON file contains saved nicknames, any notes you wrote, saved dates, generator search history and the backup date. It does not contain a password because accounts are not part of this version. You are responsible for protecting copies you download.
Can the website owner read my nickname searches?
Our client-side nickname logic does not transmit generator inputs to an application API. Normal web hosting may log visits, IP addresses and requests. If analytics or advertising is added later, the privacy disclosures must be updated to describe those services.
